The International Union of Bricklayers and Allied Craftworkers (BAC) is a labor union in the United States and Canada which represents bricklayers, restoration specialists, pointers/cleaners/caulkers, stonemasons, marble masons, cement masons, plasterers, tile setters, terrazzo mechanics, and tile, marble and terrazzo finishers. The union is an affiliate of the AFL-CIO and its Building and Construction Trades Department. It is also affiliated with the Canadian Labour Congress in Canada.

Local 1021’s 400 regular members have won the confidence of our employers over the years, to the point where we have by far most of the province’s industrial work. Over time, we’re talking big numbers, too. The mining industry alone is building $14 billion worth of projects in our province, and in time, they’ll need the help of more than 2,000 additional millwrights!

The Sheet Metal Workers Local 296 was chartered in 1958 in Regina and area and merged with the Saskatoon and Prince Albert unions in 1973. Since then, we have served our members throughout Saskatchewan with a strong commitment to our mission:

Teamsters Local Union No. 395

Teamsters Local Union No. 395 is comprised of approximately 1300 members from over 20 different companies working throughout the province of Saskatchewan in all types of employment under both Federal and Provincial jurisdictions. We are truck drivers, humane society workers, dairy workers, warehouse workers, manufacturing plant workers, pipeline construction workers, clerical workers, construction workers, armored car workers, rural municipality workers, airport workers and couriers.

United Association of Plumbers & Pipefitters, Local 179

About Local 179 – United Association of Journeymen and Apprentices of the Plumbing and Pipe Fitting Industry of the United States and Canada or “UA” as it is commonly known is a multi-craft union whose members are engaged in the fabrication, installation and servicing of piping systems. There are approximately 326,000 highly skilled United Association members who belong to over 300 individual local unions across North America.

The United Association has been training qualified pipe tradesmen longer than anyone else in the industry. The UA boasts the premier training programs available in the industry today, including five-year apprenticeship programs, extensive journeyman training, organized instructor training, and certification programs.

International Association of Bridge, Structural, Ornamental & Reinforcing Iron Workers, Local 771

A high-paced trade in a highly skilled environment. We believe that every worker in our province who engages in Ironworker Classified work should be entitled to a fair day’s wage and a pension plan that will ensure that their family will live happily and healthily long after you retire. Our “Strength in Membership” is our greatest asset. Local 771’s jurisdiction covers the entire Province of Saskatchewan and includes the Northwest Territories between 102 degrees west longitude and 110 degrees west longitude.

International Association Of Heat & Frost Insulators & Allied Workers, Local 119

The International Association of Heat and Frost Insulators and Allied Workers Union dates to the late 1800’s with the emergence of steam power. The expanded use of steam power during this era had a profound effect on the industrial sector – leading to better heated, more efficient factories and plants, improved working conditions, and the creation of thousands of new manufacturing jobs. Through this, the charter of Local 119 International Association of Heat & Frost Insulators & Allied Workers read “the objective of the union shall be to assist its membership in securing employment, to defend their rights, and advance their interests as workingmen; and by education and cooperation raise them to that position in society to which they are justly entitled.” Since that time, leaders of the International Union took this objective to grow this small group of local unions to over 120 local unions and a membership of more than 20,000.

International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers, Local IBEW 529

IBEW 529 is a local union of the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers serving construction electricians in Saskatchewan. We abide by the Code of Excellence (COE) to provide the best quality of work to our employers. We specialize in industrial, commercial & controls, and hydro & solar.

International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers, Local 2038

Local 2038 primarily represents construction electricians, both journeyed and apprenticing. We also represent Instrument mechanics, Welders and Boom truck operators also possessing an electrical journeyperson license. Local 2038 has a membership of just over 400 men and women. There is no disparity in wage rates across gender and other social lines.

International Union of Painters and Allied Trades, Local 739

The IUPAT represents all workers eligible for membership, regardless of religion, race, creed, color, national origin, age, gender or sexual orientation. IUPAT District Council 17 and her Local Union Canadian Prairie Predecessors have represented painters, glaziers, drywall finishers, floor coverers, fire proofers, hazardous workers and other allied trades for over 100 years.

International Union of Elevator Constructors, Local 102

The International Union of Elevator Constructors (IUEC), Local 102 was organized in 1901 and represents elevator constructors in across Saskatchewan, Manitoba and Northern Ontario. The IUEC represent the most qualified and trained elevator constructors in the world. Members assemble, install and replace elevators, escalators, dumbwaiters, moving walkways and similar equipment in new and old buildings. Elevator constructors also maintain and repair this equipment once it is in service, as well as modernize older equipment.
